Welcome to TirthaYoga

Since 1982, when I was an infant, with the light of inspiration from my elder brother I have kept myself attached to this eternal way of bringing mental peace to my body under the mentorship of Yogarjuna Shree Manotosh Chowdhury, who runs his renowned institute named Swasthyasri in Kolkata. At the very onset of my association with this practice I participated in local, district and state level yoga championships. Being fascinated by the art I started dreaming of pursuing this practice as my career. But at the same time I was also accustomed with the fact that I will have to enhance my talent and interest.

Asanas

Padmasana

Amongst the four poses prescribed for Japa and Dhyana, Padmasana comes foremost. It is the best Asana for contemplation.

Ardha Matsyendrasana

This Asana increases appetite by increasing the digestive fire. It destroys terrible diseases.

Matsyasana

Matsyasana is the destroyer of many diseases. It removes constipation. It brings down the accumulated faecal matter to the rectum.
